Help Save Our Planet - Recycle was founded by Laura Horton and opened on the 1st January 2007. Laura worked from her home in Marford just outside Wrexham. Laura progressed from there to a small unit based at Wrexham Industrial Estate.

After a few months it became evident that the business needed to be in the centre or at least closer to a town. Laura made the decision to re-locate the shop to Wrexham town centre. After just a few months it was time to move again, for Laura's house had finally sold, it was time to settle and move back to Denbigh her home town.

Laura is now trading as "The Recycle Lady" Eco Store in the historic town of Denbigh North Wales

Laura originally lived in a small village called Prion just out side Denbigh, she moved to Wrexham over 20 years ago. Laura decided to start the company after discovering how difficult is was to purchase recycled stationery, biodegradable dog poop bags and environmentally friendly products.

Laura says “You can buy some recycled products on the internet, but I personally found this experience inconvenient for I couldn't find one web shop to purchase all that we needed". "It was also time consuming for I wasn't always home when a parcel arrived". "Due to my lack of experience I didn't’ trust web sites to start with". "I prefer to touch and see before I make a purchase". " Finally, not everyone has access to the internet".

Whilst Laura is committed to providing online information via this web site, her aim is to give you the opportunity to purchase your eco-friendly and recycled goods by traditional means, and all under one roof. However since Laura developed this web-site the ever growing demand for her to place a web shop on here has become a must.

Good News for our enthusiastic readers, soon you will be able to purchase some of our products on line. We had to take into consideration that our dedicated recyclers wanted the option to purchase goods on here, due to the distance and rural location of our new and success shop in Denbigh.

"We will continue to promote and sell our goods at our shop".

Laura Has now returned to her home town Denbigh. The Wrexham shop has now closed. Laura states " I have wanted to return home for many years and now the opportunity has arisen. " My young family and I have been welcomed back by all" " Its fantastic"

"The Recycle Lady" Eco Store plays a vital part within the recycling industry. Laura is happy to advise and guide you if you have any concerns or questions relating to recycling.

"The Recycle Lady" Eco store offers people the opportunity to purchase top quality Recycled, Eco friendly and Fair Trade products. We all have an important role to play, as we can encourage a healthy market for recycled products. Many people are surprised at what they can buy, at affordable prices. We consider our products to be competetivly priced.

You may have seen Laura in town or at your local supermarket doing her recycling shopping bit. She removes the cardboard & plastic packaging from her items and then hands over the unwanted packaging to a member of staff. staff are always happy to help! The staff  then place this packaging into skips, designed to hold certain waste. By doing this you will reduce your household waste considerably.

Are you wondering how Laura does it? Follow the link to "Laura goes shopping" below to find out.

Many people have asked “How do you find the time, when you’re a single mum of four and work full-time?”

She always answers “I find it easier, as I place what I can into separate storage containers, leaving me without loads of plastic carrier bags cutting into my hands, or shoulder strain with the weight! When I get home, all the sorting is already done. I only have to put the containers into my cupboards. It’s a fantastic feeling knowing that my rubbish will not be going into landfill. It’s a way of life, one that my children and I prefer and enjoy!”

Can you legally leave your packaging behind in a store?

I suggest that you ask the store manager first - explain to them that you intend to spend in my case over a £100 in their store, so before you remove the packaging which will consist of plastic and cardboard do they have any objections. Offer to segregate the waste for them one carrier bag for plastic the other for cardboard. Tell them that you will not obstruct the other shoppers.

In my personal experience not one retailer has said NO!

You the shopper are legally paying for the goods and not the marketing material wrapped around it.
